Late Sri SRP Ponnuswamy Chettiar, or just "SRP" as our Founder was fondly called, rose from humble yarn trading to the hallowed heights of leadership. He was MLC for 2 consecutive terms in Madras Legislative Council and Chairman of Coimbatore Municipal Corporation. He implemented the Siruvani drinking water scheme which supplies spring water to Coimbatore city even today. Without it, our city will not be what it is today - an engineering powerhouse and educational center of excellence! He was sounded out for the post of Chief Minister of Tamilnadu, but he declined. He walked away from politics and turned his attention to social causes.
His eldest heir is no different. A stickler for perfection, he was instrumental in re-organising the whole group. Sold off loss-making units, re-directed the synergies in the group to newer sectors to make us soar to new heights.
Sri. Shivraj Chetty, took his MSc (Infosecurity) from University of London, UK. Further, he studied Corporate Finance (CCF) from London School of Economics (LSE), a premier institution in UK. With over 40 years of global experience, he is heading our new group under the brand "SRP Shiv Ananth Group". To you dear customer, we continue as the original "SRP" group in a new form.
